a traditional death crown to be worn by the corpse when carried to the grave. this one was so richly decorated and costly in creation it could be rented.
Gebeinhaus Totenkopf
a skull taken from a local burial house (Gebeinhaus, literally translates as 'bone-home'). traditionally having the name, birth and death dates, profession as well as requested blessing inscribed on top.
Memento Mori 'Gebeinhaus'
a miniature 'Gebeinhaus' (bone home) to be placed inside one's home and to ensure the dead ancestors are remembered - as well as death as a spirit.
